The wonder and magic of athletics is still in the air!! 

It is a great pleasure to share with the readers, how well our athletes have been doing.

Sixty athletes went through to the Circle athletics in Adelaide on the 8th of February. Everyone participating did extremely well and up held with pride the name and standards of the school. 

Twenty of the athletes went on to participate in the District athletics, also held in Adelaide on Friday 15 February. 

Here are the names of some of the athletes that received 1st and 2nd positions in their alternative events.

1st Positions

  • Aldoneal Vitelingham B u/15 – 3000m
  • Siyamthanda Maziko B u/15 – Long Jump
  • Morwa Rojie B u/15 – High Jump
  • Sharick Jacobs G u/17 – 800m
  • Aphinda Mpayipeli G u/17 – 100m
  • Esmeralda Arends G u/19 – Javelin
  • Yanga Dwilli B u/17 – Dicus
  • Sibanye Mentoor B u/17 – High Jump

2nd Positions

  • Somila Sabane G u/17 – Discus
  • Sharick Jacobs G u/17 – Long Jump
  • Thando Majebe B u/15 – 200m

 

We as coaches and staff of Templeton are proud to announce that we have ten athletes going to participate in East London on the 2nd of March.
